Hon Judith Collins: When we came to office, we inherited significant performance and financial challenges across several Crown entities, including Health New Zealand, ACC and Kāinga Ora. In response, the Government has taken deliberate steps to refocus these entities on delivering tangible results and public value. We are prioritising the appointment of highly capable individuals to Crown entity boards—people with the skills, experience, and leadership needed to drive performance and accountability. This reflects the Government’s view that strong governance skills and experience make a significant difference and deliver real value-for- money.
