36665 (2025). Celia Wade-Brown to the Minister for Vocational Education: What plans, if any, does the Minister have for the future of the Taratahi Agriculture Training Centre?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I do not have any plans. Taratahi Agricultural Training Centre (Taratahi) is a facility that is intended through its own legislation to support vocational educational and training in agricultural and related fields. The Education and Training Act does not, and will not, have any direct impact on Taratahi. The establishment of Industry Skills Boards does not directly impact on this facility. The liquidators continue to work with a potential buyer on purchasing the land, but a deal is still to be finalised.
