Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) between 21-25 July 2025: • Operational Recovery Weekly Status Report – Upper South Island severe weather event 2025, 24 July 2025 • 2025.07.25 Status Report to the Minister for EM and Recovery, 25 July 2025 • Review of financial support to local authorities and advice on funding for Mayoral Relief Fund contributions, 25 July 2025. In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in NEMA and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices.
