36279 (2025). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Housing: What proportion, if any, of Kāinga Ora homes meet its accessibility and universal design standards?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that since 2019 1,463 of its homes had been built to its universal design standards as at 30 June 2025. More than 16,000 of its homes had a modification of some description making them more accessible for the specific needs of the tenant.
