36269 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Has funding been secured to provide free cervical screening for all eligible populations in New Zealand?

Hon Simeon Brown: I'm focussed on achieving better cancer outcomes for New Zealanders, and the Ministry of Health is leading the development of a cervical cancer elimination plan in partnership with the Cancer Control Agency. Funding for cervical screening is targeted towards the groups with the greatest need and highest clinical risk.
