36237 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: How many individuals’ resident visa applications were declined in 2024, if any?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that between 1 January 2024 and 31 December 2024, a total of 1,742 residence applications were declined. These applications involved 3,892 individuals, comprising both principal and secondary applicants. This is a decline rate for individuals of 6.6%.
