36222 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Will seventeen year olds who turn 18 afer early voting starts but on or before voting day still be able to apply to be enrolled to vote under his proposed changes to electoral laws?
Hon Paul Goldsmith: Yes, people who turn 18 between the enrolment deadline and the close of election day will be allowed to apply to enrol in advance of turning 18. They will still be able to enrol and vote, as long as they apply to enrol by the deadline and are otherwise eligible.
