36216 (2025). Ingrid Leary to the Minister of Housing: Further to Reply 33394 (2025), where are the tenants, if any, now located or due to be located?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora advises me that it leases Supported Housing properties to service providers, who in turn rent the property to the people living in the property – the services providers’ tenants. Service providers are responsible for managing the people living in the property, not Kāinga Ora. Regarding the recent situation where Kāinga Ora has decided not to renew the lease for a property owned by a private owner, Kāinga Ora advises me that it does not have information relating to the service providers’ tenants living at the property.
