36211 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What is the status of the tolling decision for the Warkworth to Te Hana expressway following the public consultation that closed on 15 April 2026, and when does he expect to make a recommendation to Cabinet, if at all?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZTA consulted on a tolling proposal for the Warkworth to Te Hana Expressway between 16 March and 15 April 2026. A wide range of information is publicly available, on the NZTA website at: https://nzta.govt.nz/projects-and-consultations/have-your-say/past-consultations/northland-corridor-ara-tuhono-warkworth-to-te-hana-tolling-consultation I have not yet received a briefing from NZTA to consider the options on tolling Warkworth to Te Hana and therefore no decision has been made.
