36180 (2026). Hon Damien O'Connor to the Minister for Land Information: Further to the reply to written question 32029 (2026), which records one standing consent and one purchasing programme consent, how many individual acquisitions of sensitive land were made during the 2025/26 financial year under standing consents or purchasing programme consents granted in any year, what was their total value and land area, and are those acquisitions included in the 230 transactions cited by the Associate Minister of Finance on 13 July 2026?
Mike Butterick: During the 2025/26 financial year, five individual acquisitions of sensitive land were completed under residential standing consents, with a total value of approx. $39.3 million and a combined land area of 5.05 hectares. This is for transactions that have settled and been reported to Land Information New Zealand (LINZ). This does not include transactions that have not yet been notified to LINZ. During the 2025/26 financial year, one transaction occurred under a purchasing programme. These are historic partial consents that LINZ is required to action. This transaction was included in the 230 applications. Information about this transaction is confidential as it relates to a personal home.
