Hon Damien O'Connor to the Minister for Land Information: In respect of consents granted under the benefit to New Zealand test since 2018, how many have been formally assessed as having delivered the benefits on which consent was granted, in how many cases, if any, were those benefits found not to have been delivered, and what action, if any, followed?

Mike Butterick: Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) does not formally assess whether each consent has delivered the broader benefits on which consent was granted. Instead, LINZ assesses compliance with the conditions imposed on each consent. Some, but not all, of those conditions relate to benefits to New Zealand.
