Hon Tama Potaka: Kāinga Ora advises me that eviction is a process involving the Tenancy Tribunal and the District Court which only happens if a person refuses to leave the property after the tenancy has ended. Evictions are only conducted to return vacant possession of the property to Kāinga Ora. I refer the Member to the attached table for the number of evictions during the 2024/25 financial year, broken down by location.
