36160 (2025). Tamatha Paul to the Associate Minister of Housing: What reasons, if any, can Kainga Ora use to evict a tenant, listed?

Hon Tama Potaka: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that eviction is a process involving the Tenancy Tribunal and the District Court which only happens if a person refuses to leave the property after the tenancy has ended. Evictions are only conducted to return vacant possession of the property to Kāinga Ora.
