36151 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Justice: What dollar amount has the Electoral Commission estimated as the total cost of removing same-day enrolments, and making the last day for enrolment the 25 October 2026 for the 2026 General Election, if any?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that the Electoral Commission has allocated $4.2m of baseline funding to implement the earlier roll closure. This includes funding administration, IT, community education, advertising, call centre, and enrolment costs.
