Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Further to 34057 (2026), how is the specialist training to support staff in identifying behaviour from young people that could compromise professional boundaries different to the six-week training induction provided to new staff at youth justice facilities?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that the specialist training referred to has been newly developed this year and is not part of the induction training for new staff at youth justice residences.
