36074 (2026). Mike Davidson to the Minister of Local Government: Has the Minister received any advice about the impact of a proposed rates cap on the Regional Infrastructure Fund; if so, what are all the impacts the advice canvassed and on what dates was any such advice received?

Hon Simon Watts: I received advice on 29 October 2025 that incorporated the views from agency consultation on a draft of the November Cabinet paper. This included a view from Kānoa on council's co-investment in regional infrastructure. Further advice has been incorporated throughout the policy development process.
