35915 (2025). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Prime Minister: Was he advised during the oral briefing on 16 June 2025 from the Chief Executive of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet that the Terrorist Designation Working Group, chaired by Police had advised that the designation of the American Proud Boys should have been renewed and if so, why was it not renewed?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: I am advised that the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet is preparing for proactive release documents relating to the designation of The American Proud Boys that expired under section 29B of the Terrorism Suppression Act on 19 June 2025. The proactive release will be available on the Department’s website: Publications | Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC)
