35853 (2026). Lan Pham to the Minister of Conservation: Has the Department of Conservation received any reports of bittern being killed in wind farms in the last five years?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that the Department of Conservation is not aware of any reports of bittern being killed in wind farms in the last five years. The Department does not hold national-level data on bird injuries or deaths from wind farms in New Zealand.
