35833 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Local Government: How many of the councils that did not submit a Head Start proposal by 9 August 2026, if any, gave insufficient time as a reason for not doing so, and which councils were they?

Hon Simon Watts: Councils that did not submit a Head Start proposal have given a range of reasons for not doing so. For some this included a desire to take more time to consider the options for change.
