35823 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Health: Has the Minister's departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible, if any, procured services from any of the companies listed in the recent UN Report 'A/HRC/59/23: From economy of occupation to economy of genocide - Report of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967' and if so which companies?
Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that since 2020, the Ministry of Health has identified three of the listed companies it has procured goods and services from in that time: Hyundai, IBM and Microsoft.
I am further advised by Health NZ that it is not possible for the agency to provide the Member with information requested as it would require Health NZ to undertake a substantial manual collation exercise and divert staff from their core duties. In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 210-6, I consider that the time, and hence the expense, of answering the Member’s question is not in the public interest.
