35789 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: Has the Minister's departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible, if any, procured services from any of the companies listed in the recent UN Report 'A/HRC/59/23: From economy of occupation to economy of genocide - Report of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967' and if so which companies?
Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that is it not possible to provide a comprehensive answer to this question within the timeframe for answers to WPQs as the report in question does not include a list of companies, and some of the companies mentioned may conduct business under a range of trading names, or not trade in New Zealand. It would not be in the public interest to divert officials from their core work to analyse the full report and check procurement against company names.
