Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Local Government: What advice, if any, has he received from the Electoral Commission, the Local Government Commission or Local Government New Zealand on the risk to the conduct of the October 2028 local elections of finalising boundaries and representation arrangements as late as 2027?

Hon Simon Watts: I have not received advice related to boundary changes, from the Electoral Commission, the Local Government Commission or Local Government New Zealand regarding risk to the conduct of the October 2028 local elections.
