35736 (2026). Hon Willie Jackson to the Minister for Māori Development: Does the Minister stand by his statement that "Our Government has co-invested more into marae alongside Iwi and hapū than any government in New Zealand’s history," and if so, how much funding has this government delivered to Marae since he became Minister?

Hon Tama Potaka: Yes I do. The Government has funded over $200 million. Funding into marae has come from various portfolios and agencies including Emergency Response, Climate Change, Te Puni Kōkiri, Department of Internal Affairs, and the Regional Infrastructure Fund.
