35719 (2026). Lan Pham to the Minister for Biosecurity: How many consultants, if any, are being hired to assist with the development and testing of "a new AI tool to modernise the import health standard process", as announced in a Beehive press release on 25 July 2026?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I am advised that the Ministry for Primary Industries has engaged Deloitte under a fixed-price contract to support development and testing of the new AI tool to modernise the import health standard process. The contract is for delivery of agreed outcomes and milestones, rather than a specified number of consultants.
