Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: Was the treatment for Anastrepha fraterculus in Schedule 2 validated against all morphotypes of the species complex present in Chile, Mexico, Morocco, Peru and the USA, or against a single reference morphotype in the draft IHS Fresh Blueberries for Human Consumption?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I am advised that the irradiation treatment is based on an international standard and is applicable to the entire Anastrepha genus.
