Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Sport and Recreation: How many vacancies, if any, were advertised by the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, from January to June 2024, and how many total applicants, if any, were received for those vacancies?

Hon Mark Mitchell: There were 23 vacancies across the Sport NZ Group between January and June 2024, resulting in a combined total of 1083 applications. The Sport Integrity Commission was established on 1 July 2024. Immediately prior to its establishment, the Commission advertised six vacancies and received a total of 759 applicants. Two further vacancies were advertised through recruitment agencies (applicant numbers are not available).
