Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: What peer-reviewed evidence did MPI rely on to set the methyl bromide fumigation schedule for Spotted Wing Drosophila in the IHS Fresh Blueberries for Human Consumption, and has this been independently reviewed against the published literature Blueberries NZ has cited in their submission on proposed import requirements for fresh blueberries for human consumption?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: The Ministry for Primary Industries is considering all the further information provided by Blueberries New Zealand in their submission. In addition, I refer the member to the response to WPQ 35672 (2026).
