Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: What was, if any, the scientific evidence base relied on to set the methyl bromide dose, temperature and duration parameters for Drosophila suzukii in the IHS Fresh Blueberries for Human Consumption, and what efficacy trial data, if any was used for this?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: The evidence base was provided by a trading partner was assessed by the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) and found to be a valid treatment that meets MPI’s efficacy requirement.
