35629 (2026). Hon Damien O'Connor to the Minister of Defence: What is the cost per hour of the use of King Air aircraft and what costs are included in calculating that figure?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: The approximate short-term tasking cost for the C-12 King Air 350 aircraft is $1,150 per flight hour. This cost includes marginal personnel costs, fuel, airport charges and other associated costs in relation to the flight. There is no additional cost to the Crown for VIP taskings as they are delivered within baselines for Output 4.4 Military Assistance to Civil Authorities in Non-Emergency Situations.
