Hon Chris Bishop: Kainga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that this detailed information is not centrally recorded. Providing this information would require Kainga Ora to request the raw data from an external source and then process and verify the data. This would divert a significant amount of staff resources from their core duties. In accordance with Speaker's Ruling 210/6, I consider that the time, and hence the expense, of answering the Member's question is not in the public interest. I am also advised that between January and July 2025, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development advertised 57 jobs, with a total of 2,166 applicants.
