Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Children: How many vacancies, if any, were advertised by the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, from January to June 2024, and how many total applicants, if any, were received for those vacancies?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that Oranga Tamariki advertised for a total of 788 positions between January and June 2024 and received 10,567 applications. This includes internal and external advertisements for secondments, casual, permanent, and fixed term roles. Some roles may have been advertised more than once in that time period.
