Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Education: How many vacancies, if any, were advertised by the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, from January to June 2025, and how many total applicants, if any, were received for those vacancies?

Hon Erica Stanford: I refer the Member to the attached table showing recruitment data from the Ministry of Education, New Zealand Qualifications Authority, and Education New Zealand. Recruitment data from the Education Review Office (ERO) is provided for 2024 and 2025. Prior to 2024, ERO data was not stored centrally, and cannot be collated within the timeframe available to respond to written parliamentary questions. ERO implemented a centralised recruitment system in 2024, which enables the provision of data from that year onward. This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 35460, 35486, 35505, 35569 and 35713 (2025).
