Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Transport: What consultations are the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, planning to open on the week beginning 21 July 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and when is any such consultation expected to close?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by the Ministry of Transport that consultation process will commence on Wednesday 23 July for a Performance and Governance change proposal, which includes the Performance and Governance and Investment and Monitoring Groups. The changes proposed are minor, with a change in reporting line being proposed for two roles and one vacant role being repurposed. I am also advised by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) that no new consultations commenced in the week beginning 21 July 2025.
