35366 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Health: Further to 58176 (2024), has Health New Zealand joined the Child Protection Protocol that currently exists between Oranga Tamariki and New Zealand Police; if not, why?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand’s Executive Leadership Team will consider a proposal to join the Child Protection Protocol. Health NZ already participates in the protocol, without being a member, by responding to child protection alerts and referrals.
