Vanushi Walters to the Prime Minister: Has he sought advice from the Secretary of the Cabinet or the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet on whether the remarks made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the general debate in the House on 29 July 2026 engage any provision of the Cabinet Manual; if so, on what date?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as Prime Minister, I am the responsible Minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). I have not sought advice from DPMC regarding comments made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Parliament on 29 July 2026.
