Vanushi Walters to the Prime Minister: What advice, if any, did he receive from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade or the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet on whether any expression of regret or clarification should be conveyed to the Chinese Government following the remarks made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the New Zealand Parliament on 29 July 2026?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as Prime Minister, I have received no advice from officials relating to whether any expression of regret or clarification should be conveyed to the Chinese Government in response to comments made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Parliament on 29 July 2026.
