35300 (2026). Vanushi Walters to the Prime Minister: On what basis does he state, as he did in the House on 5 August 2026, that New Zealand’s relationship with China “is in very good heart and is in very good shape”, and what advice, if any, supports that statement?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: New Zealand’s relationship with China is mature and longstanding. Through my experience visiting China and engaging with senior Chinese leaders, I know the relationship to be in good heart.
