Lan Pham to the Minister responsible for RMA Reform: Following reply 32963 (2026), which "Ministerial colleagues", specifically, did the Minister have "discussions with" to come to the decision to include an option to remove Te Mana o te Wai from national direction in the consultation package?

Hon Chris Bishop: I discussed the freshwater package with relevant portfolio Ministers including the Minister for Agriculture (Hon Todd McClay), the Associate Minister of Agriculture and for the Environment (Hon Andrew Hoggard). Final options for public consultation were decided by Cabinet.
