35191 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: What changes, if any, have been made to the alternative provision model for school lunches for contributing primary schools that are set to switch to the model from Term 1, 2026?

Hon David Seymour: Contributing primary schools (Years 0–6) will transition to the alternative provision model from Term 1, 2026. There are no changes planned to the cost-efficient model currently used by most other schools in the programme. The outcome from the RFP to supply lunches to external model contributing primary schools may introduce some change in the current model. This will not be known until after the RFP is complete.
