35146 (2026). Lan Pham to the Minister of Conservation: What is the nature of the "draft four-year work plan" that is "expected within the next month" for undertaking work on bittern conservation in the Kaiwaikawe Wind Farm project area, as reported in the Northern Advocate on 3 August 2026?

Hon Tama Potaka: I have been advised by the Department of Conservation that the draft work plan is for work on bittern conservation primarily in the Kauri Coast district. The nature of the draft proposal prioritises wetland protection, restoration, predator control, monitoring and improving water quality.
