Hon Erica Stanford: The reinvestment of funding for Resource Teachers: Literacy through Budget 25 continues the strategic shift in the model of support provision to one that is more consistent, efficient, and equitable, based on nationally consistent progress and achievement data that responds to need. This sees a move from an itinerant specialist workforce and ‘refer-out’ model to building and embedding effective in-school targeted expertise and practice over time to accelerate progress in literacy. New structured literacy approach staffing is an example of this shift.
