34985 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Vocational Education: On what date, if any, and at what time, if any, was Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) informed of the government's decisions regarding the return of polytechnics to regional governance?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I met with the Te Pūkenga Acting Chair and CE ahead of my announcement at 1 pm on 14 July 2025. I am advised that Te Pūkenga then advised all staff of my announcements via an email after announcements were made. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 34987, 34988, 34989, 34990, 34991, 34992, 34993, 34994, 34995, 34996, 34997, 34998, 34999, 35000 (2025).
