Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What advice, reports, briefings, aide memoires, or any other documents has the Minister or any member of their Office seen, if any, about the recent letter sent to the UN Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, Albert K Barume by title and date?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: My Office was informed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on 13 June 2025 that the communication had been received. The Ministry provided us with information about the scope and nature of Special Rapporteur communications and the usual process for the Government to respond as well as factual information in relation to the recent letter sent to the Special Rapporteur.
