34926 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Defence: What is New Zealand’s involvement in terms of personnel and role, if any, in the military exercises Resolute Force Pacific (REFORPAC), Resolute Space, Mobility Guardian, Emerald Warrior and Bamboo Eagle?
Hon Judith Collins: Resolute Force Pacific (REFORPAC) is a United States Pacific Air Forces exercise running from 10 July to 8 August 2025. The air mobility aspects of REFORPAC are conducted through Exercise Mobility Guardian 25. The NZDF is providing air transport support as part of Exercise Mobility Guardian 25, being one C130J aircraft and 36 staff.
The United States is the lead nation for support to Exercise Resolute Space in the Americas time zone. The NZDF is providing support through the normal Joint Commercial Operations (JCO) shifts in the Pacific region out of 62 Squadron at RNZAF Base Auckland. As well as the NZDF support, the JCO Pacific region support also includes other operators from New Zealand, Australia, the Republic of Korea, and Japan.
The NZDF has no involvement with either Emerald Warrior or Bamboo Eagle.
