Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tourism and Hospitality: What public engagement surveys, if any, are planned or currently underway regarding the use of artificial intelligence in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any?

Hon Louise Upston: As Minister of Tourism & Hospitality, I have no responsibility for any government departments or Ministries. In respect of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, I refer the Member to the Minister for Economic Growth’s answer to written parliamentary question 34819 (2026). With regard to Crown entities under the Tourism & Hospitality portfolio, I am advised that Tourism New Zealand has no public engagement surveys planned or underway regarding the use of AI.
