34805 (2025). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: Were any providers whose contracts funded by the $1.7m for Safe Strong Families are coming to an end found to have underdelivered, and if yes, how many?
Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) that the Ministry currently funds 12 providers to deliver Sexual Violence Long Term Recovery and Care (SVLTREC) services and two providers to deliver Sexual Violence Prevention (SVPREV) services. The total combined funding across these two services is $1.7m per annum.
SVLTREC and SVPREV services deliver a range of services including post-crisis counselling, therapeutic trauma recovery, social work support, and prevention programmes aimed at reducing the risk of sexual assault.
Under delivery of these services was not a consideration in deciding to decommission these contracts.
