34793 (2025). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister of Transport: What advice, if any, did he receive in determining how funding for the Total Mobility Scheme is allocated and administered across regions, listed by title and date?

Hon Chris Bishop: I can advise I have not received any advice on this. Allocation and administration of funding across regions is an operational decision for NZTA based on demand. I am also advised that NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi has not provided any advice to the Minister about how Total Mobility scheme funding is allocated and administered across regions. Administration of the scheme is managed directly by Public Transport Authorities (PTAs). NZTA provides PTAs with Guidelines that support administration of the scheme.
