34791 (2025). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister of Transport: What directives, if any, did he issue on the proportion of the Total Mobility Scheme subsidy that is funded by local government, and how is that proportion determined?

Hon Chris Bishop: I can advise that I have not issued any directives on the proportion of the Total Mobility scheme subsidy that is funded by local government. The current funding arrangements were in place prior to this Government taking office. I am also advised by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi that The Local Government proportion of funding is determined by the Financial Assistance Rate (FAR) published on the NZTA website.
