Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Police: What public engagement surveys, if any, are planned or currently underway regarding the use of artificial intelligence in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any?

Hon Mark Mitchell: As Minister of Police, none. In regards to the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), SFO undertakes a biannual stakeholder engagement survey that does not currently ask any questions about the use of artificial intelligence. Questions are reviewed bi-annually in advance of the survey, and no decisions have been made about whether future surveys will ask about the use of artificial intelligence.
