34776 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How much, if anything, has Kāinga Ora spent on the housing projects proposed at the two sites at 28 and 132 Adelaide Road, Wellington since the land was purchased and what were any such funds spent on?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities that the acquisition of 132 Adelaide Road included the due diligence on the property, which was sufficient for the feasibility assessment of the site. Any subsequent spend on the site since purchase has been in-house, and includes internal design and feasibility work. Since it was purchased, the following spend has been incurred at the 28 Adelaide Road site: • Architects $49,530 • Consultants $36,660 • $22,025 on security costs • $5,350 on the valuation.
